Funding and Support for New Community Businesses (England)

Community groups in England wanting to set up new community businesses will be able to apply for support and funding from the 19th April 2017.

The £1.85 million Bright Ideas Fund will offer around 80 community groups, with up to 15 days of tailored business support, grants of up to £20,000 to develop their community business ideas as well as opportunities to learn from other community businesses.

The Bright Ideas Fund is jointly funded by Power to Change and the Department for Communities and Local Government, the two-year programme will be delivered by a consortium including Co-operatives UK, Plunkett Foundation and Groundwork UK, led by Locality.

The closing date for applications is 10 am on the 31st May 2017
